Colonial House

THESE CLIENTS ARE VERY BUSY. THEY ARE KNOWLEDGEABLE GARDENERS WITH A PASSION FOR FLOWERS. BECAUSE OF THEIR BUSY SCHEDULE THE ONCE BEAUTIFUL GARDEN HAD GOTTEN AWAY FROM THEM. THE LANDSCAPE WAS OVERRUN WITH WEEDS AND OVERGROWN LANDSCAPE PLANTS. WE WERE PUT IN CHARGE WITH WIPING THE SLATE CLEAN AND RE DESIGNING THE SPACE. WE SAVED AS MANY DIVISIONS OF THEIR EXISTING PERENNIALS AND SHRUBS AS WE COULD AND INCORPORATED THEM INTO THE NEW DESIGN. WE TOOK THE LANDSCAPE IN A NEW DIRECTION BY FOCUSING ON A MORE SYMMETRICAL LAYOUT WITH COLOR, SHAPE AND TEXTURE REPLACING THE PREVIOUSLY ABUNDANT FLOWERING PERENNIALS. IT IS QUITE A TRANSFORMATION. THE HOUSE NOW LOOKS INVITING AND STATELY WITH ITS NEW MAINTENANCE FRIENDLY LANDSCAPE.

Facebook Winner

This project was done in cooperation with Vectren. They sponsored a Facebook contest for The Ultimate Yard Makeover with a grand prize of $5000. The winner was a local family who wanted a space where they could gather outdoors. We designed a firepit and patio for weary backyard campers to warm up. The landscape features interesting boulders, some native and some unique plant selections, a custom pottery fountain and inviting path with stone steps. The entire contest was a fun experience for all involved.

Pool Landscape

This family wanted help transitioning several areas into a cohesive space. They were dealing with two entrances to the home, a new wood deck, an irregular shaped patio, and a pool. We were in charge of creating a landscape to bring all of these areas together. We designed a living screen for the pool for privacy and incorporated many varieties of perennials to soften all of the edges of the landscape. We added a natural stone path to help naturalize the space and give quicker access to the pool for the guests. Flowering shrubs and grasses were planted to provide consistency to the space as a whole. There is a lot of summer color tin this landscape to enjoy during pool season.
